Zedd Bill Graham

ZEDD

Raised in Kaiserslautern, Germany and born in Russia, Zedd, at the age of 4, began playing piano. “Both my parents are musicians and from a very early age they encouraged me to make classical music,” Zedd recalls. “I kept up with that until I was about 12 when my brother and I started a rock band. From there I went in a more post-hardcore/ metal direction and really developed my sensibilities as a drummer — so I was sort of constantly moving into different styles of music.” Inspired by an album by Justice when he was a teenager, Zedd became inspired to learn how to produce electronic music. Fast forward to 2010 and he already had won two Beatport remix contests, which brought a lot of attention by established artists like Fatboy Slim, Lady Gaga and Skrillex.

Coming out of the gate strong, Zedd’s first 2 albums, True Colors & Clarity, produced several top ten singles and #1 spots on the dance charts. He has a number of hits that are easily recognized worldwide including his break-out hit “Clarity”, a song featuring Selena Gomez called “I Want You To Know”, “Stay the Night” which was a collaboration with Hayley Williams (known for being the lead singer of Paramore) and more.

Having also worked as a producer for legendary artists like Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga, Zedd has certainly carved out a place for himself in the music industry.
