One of SF’s bands on the rise, Nova Albion, followed up it’s recent EP release with a video for their new single “Bones Will Grow.” With a shows at the America’s Cup Pavilion ¬†and Cafe Du Nord in the past couple of weeks, they certainly seem to be on the fast track to getting some major radio play and hopefully a festival spot in 2014. Formerly Music for Animals, the band consists of Jayson Martinovich, Eli Meyskens, Ryan Malley and Nick Bray.

There music is a mix of several decades of music complex lyrics, beautiful melodies and subtle hints of U2, Prince, The Killers, Talking Heads (and more) and each song has a way of getting in your head and sticking with you. This band is REALLY GOOD live and we highly recommend seeing them at their next show at Rickshaw Stop on August 14th.
